My family and I enjoyed a very pleasant experience on a recent Saturday afternoon. We rode in the magnificently restored parlor car, and snacked on some light refreshments while taking in the colorful fall scenery. I understand that the train rides are possible because of the hard work of dedicated volunteers, and their efforts are greatly appreciated. The grounds of the rail yard were decorated beautifully (hay bales, corn stalks, pumpkins, mums, and mini scarecrows), and the addition of family-friendly games and live entertainment made the time before we boarded even more special. I have been on numerous train rides in PA, NJ, NY, and CT and my experience at Colebrookdale Railroad is definitely one of my favorites. I highly recommend taking one of the offered excursions.
