Building a Better Boyertown

Our Mission and Vision

Building a Better Boyertown (BaBB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing and preserving the historic charm of Boyertown, Pennsylvania. Since its establishment in the early 2000s, BaBB has worked tirelessly to celebrate and enhance Boyertown’s artistic, historical, and cultural heritage. Our mission is to create a welcoming and vibrant community for residents, businesses, and visitors alike while ensuring that Boyertown remains a dynamic and sustainable destination for generations to come.

Our Roots

BaBB originated as a grassroots effort, founded by concerned citizens and local business owners who recognized the economic and cultural challenges small towns across America were facing. As local industries declined and modern developments shifted focus away from small-town centers, Boyertown’s downtown began to lose its vibrancy. Determined to reverse this trend, these community members came together with a shared vision: to breathe new life into Boyertown while preserving its unique character and history.

Our Impact

Over the years, BaBB has grown from a small group of volunteers into a driving force for sustainable growth and community pride. By fostering strong partnerships and utilizing resources from the Pennsylvania Downtown Center and the National Main Street Program, BaBB has:

  • Transformed Boyertown’s downtown into a thriving, walkable hub of activity.

  • Preserved and revitalized historic landmarks.

  • Supported local events and initiatives that bring the community together.

  • Strengthened local businesses through economic support and collaboration.

Why It’s Better in Boyertown

From lush planters to facade funding, and from our quaint Farmer’s Market to our zealous Oktoberfest, BaBB continues to showcase that “It’s Better in Boyertown.” Whether you’re a resident, business owner, or visitor, BaBB’s efforts ensure that Boyertown remains a place where history and innovation coexist harmoniously, and where community spirit thrives.
