Colebrookdale Railroad is pure magic. From the moment you board, you truly feel as though you’ve stepped back into another era. Traveling in the Beaver Car was an unforgettable experience, made even better by our server, Grace, who was wonderfully attentive, informative, and kept us well fed throughout the journey. What surprised me most was just how good the food was. Train dining experiences can sometimes feel gimmicky, but this was genuinely delicious. I’m always hungry, and even we left completely stuffed. Special praise goes to the garlic rolls waiting at our seats when we boarded—they were delightful. This railroad is an absolute hidden gem. If you love trains, transportation history, historic preservation, or simply unique experiences, book a trip immediately. The atmosphere feels like stepping directly into HBO’s The Gilded Age. The restored train cars are beautiful, and the level of care put into every detail is obvious. The cars were spotless, as were the cutlery and glasses, and as someone who is extremely particular about presentation and cleanliness, I was impressed. Colebrookdale deserves enormous praise for the painstaking restoration and upkeep of these beautiful historic cars. I already cannot wait to return and experience it again in another season.
