World-renown Taylor Backes Glass Studio welcomes visitors from around the world to enjoy the beauty of glassblowing. You’ll stand in awe as you watch glorious works of art created out of hot, molten sand, turning out both the beautiful and the useful. Exploring the shop, you’ll discover that molten glass can be turned into a multitude of things from glassware and sculptural bowls to jewelry, and dramatic floor to ceiling pieces. Their work is on display in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the American Craft Museum, the Corning Museum of Glass and the Smithsonian Institute. Glass blowing demonstrations are held on a regular basis and they also have classes suitable for beginners to advanced glass artists.

They feature ever-changing exhibits by local and regional artists and in addition to engaging arts exhibits, Studio B also offers: “Fall into Winter,” an annual tour of artists’ studios, summer workshops for children; writing workshops; monthly art socials where artists gather, classes in visual and communication arts, poetry readings, history talks, book talks, and artist events. Studio B also holds an annual themed exhibit and book release event combining visual and literary art. The Bear Fever Art Walk through Boyertown was a product of this group of very creative imaginations.
